Shanghai
Nanotechnology Promotion Center (SNPC) was
established in July,2001, subordinated to Science and Technology
Commission of Shanghai Municipality. Under the leadership
of Interagency Leading Group on Nanoscience, Engineering and
Technology of Municipality, the mission of SNPC is to carry
out the strategies and decisions of the leading group, to
organize resources and coordinate the diverse parts of the
research, thus to promote the development of nanotechnology
in Shanghai. |

•Project management |

Organize and manage Shanghai R&D projects
on nanoscience and technology, including basic research, applied
technology, pilot test and commercial demonstration projects.

•Connect Industries with academia |
| |
Construct bridges between businesses and universities mainly
through conferences, workshops etc.,thus to promote nanotechnology
into industrialization. |

•Platform and network services |
| |
Establish information database and nanotechnology service
platforms to promote the development of Shanghai nanotechnology.

•Cooperation |
| |
Try to establish various cooperative relationships with governments,
universities, institutes and industries domestically and internationally. |
